BOBBY OROZA STRANGE GIRL

Finland born Bobby Oroza pushes towards an expression transcending the borders of soul and rock balladry. 'Strange Girl' is a tune that was written during some downtime between tours, released last year on Big Crown records. It's somewhat of a family affair as they cover fellow Big Crown signee The Shacks tune 'Strange Boy', giving it that signature retro Oroza sound and flipping the title to 'Strange Girl'. Released yesterday is the new music video to accompany this fantastic tune. Shot through a fish eye lens, the video has a soft, clouded effect. It follows a woman dressed in a scientist’s coat through a garden as she inspects plants to take back to the lab with her partner. The video captures the essence of being in awe and intrigued by someone mysterious. The ‘strange girl’ drops a pipette of liquid onto her tongue and starts to hallucinate, with flashing images of colourful flowers and her in the garden with her long hair draped over the foliage. The closing scene is an sweet and intimate moment where the scientist and her lab partner rest their heads on one another as they fall into slumber. -Ellie Rose-Davies
